So many cool sites, blogs, and the icons all would show this really cool icon or image in the browser bar. Now, if you are like me that seems to stick in your mind for awhile. Might forget the exact url, but the fav icon is definitely something memorable.
Stumbled across this http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/-/addanitext/ and can't help buy say how useful it is. Even has an icon generator for iPhone/iTouch apps, if that is something you are looking to venture into.
